"Our IT Leadership team is well respected for its knowledge and expertise, but more importantly the individual team members respect the IT staff members for their expertise and our commitment to our customers," said Mike Cummins, VHAs chief information officer. "In 2010, MIS had numerous projects under way that yielded significant positive benefits for both our members and our employees while improving the processes within the entire MIS team." Cummins also stressed his commitment to helping employees identify and engage in opportunities to develop and expand their professional capabilities.
"In 2010, MIS has several key projects under way that are designed to help us better understand and respond to our key constituencies as well as improve our own internal software delivery methods and software delivery processes," added Cummins. "We view IT as an integral and essential component of our business and continually strive to identify and implement IT infrastructure principles that will consistently provide superior internal and external support and service improvements that we monitor and measure to ensure our success over time."
"To be among the Best Places to Work in IT, its not enough just to seek out and hire the most talented IT people, offer them competitive pay and provide great benefits," said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. "The organizations that made this years Best Places to Work list sustain a dynamic work environment in which IT professionals keep their hands on the latest technologies and work on projects that are business critical."
