Vu1 Announces Allowance of First U.S. Patent for Its Unique ESL(TM) Lighting Technology

SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/15/10 -- Vu1 Corporation (OTCBB: VUOC), a developer and manufacturer of mercury-free, energy-efficient, general illumination lighting technology, today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued a Notice of Allowance for a patent application for its ESL153; lighting technology. U.S. Patent Application Serial No.: 11/969,840 is for the system and apparatus for cathodoluminescent lighting, relating to the method of operation to create light via phosphor and a cathode, a key component of Vu1s unique Electron Stimulated Luminescence (ESL153;) clean, energy efficient lighting technology.
