CHANTILLY, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/08/12 -- This year Audio Video Systems (AVS) is celebrating its 20 year anniversary as a leading design, engineering and systems integration firm. Founded in 1992 by Peter Barthelson, with the mission to transform the way governments and commercial customers do business, AVS has grown from only a handful of people to a successful company of more than 150 employees.

AVS has evolved from a one man enterprise working out of his home to a thriving business with an international scope serving as a trusted advisor to clients, providing unparalleled technology solutions. Peter Barthelson, President and Founder of AVS, has seen the company grow and evolve over the years, especially as of late. In the past two years AVS has more than doubled its employees, built a high tech company headquarters and opened two new offices in Huntsville, Alabama and Honolulu, Hawaii.
